Remains of fortification are located 3 km soutwest of village, just on the left bank of Cerna Opava River, circa 500 metres north of Drakov hunting lodge. The complex is situated on a wooded, 23 metres long, 8 metres wide and 10 metres high rock, separated from the platform by 10 metres wide ditch. An old pathway is still well visible between the rock and 8 metres distant river. Some parts of fortification show tiny brickwork remains and also layers of carbon, which proves the complex burnt down and timber was used as construction material. As well as Quinburg, this fortified “tollhouse” guarded and controlled the trade route from Nisa to Olomouc, passing through the Valley of Cerna Opava River. Its short and non recorded existence apparently dates back to the 14th century.

The ruin of a Gothic castle, coming from the end of 13th or the beginning of the 14th century, is located 5 km southwest of Hermanovice, just above Cerna Opava River Valley and on high outcrops of Sokoli Rocks, 868 metres above sea level. Unfortunately, no written records of the castle have been preserved. The castle core was situated on three differently descending rocks, where the remains of rough walling (up to 2, 2 metres) have been preserved. On its western access side, the castle was separated from an ascendant ridge by an artificially modified gap, transforming into 18 metres wide ditch. In Bruntal museum, there is some archeological material being keept. It is mainly represented by ceramic and stone artifacts.
